Shall Man Survive!?

Wants to do it in your ear hole!

***

“Shall Man Survive!?”, a hardworking rock n’ roll band from Gothenburg, Sweden. Their motto: If it doesn’t rock, if it doesn’t roll, it’s not worth playing.

***

Started in early 2010, the band focused their first year on getting the band member together and writing some powerful, soulful, hi octane rock n’ roll songs worthy of legend.

***

Released in April 2011 is their debut. A self titled four track EP. A foretaste of things to come.

You can hear the influences of 60 years of rock that penetrates the swaggering guitars, the thumping rhythm section and the wailing vocals. The band is not stuck though in the heritage of rock n’ roll but find their own sound in their confident compositions.

They are coming to a stage near you!

Yours Rocking / Shall Man Survive!?

JAPAN cover the old velvet underground song..in a very dreamy way smiley

Japan were a British New Wave group, formed in 1974 in Catford, South London. The band achieved success in the late 1970s/early 1980s, when they were often associated with the burgeoning New Romantic fashion movement.

Original members:

David Sylvian (original name David Batt): vocals, guitar, keyboards
Mick Karn (original name Anthony Michaelides): bass guitar, saxophone, oboe
Rob Dean: guitar
Steve Jansen (Sylvian's brother, Steve Batt): drums and percussion
Richard Barbieri: keyboards[1]
The band debuted on record with the 1978 album Adolescent Sex and followed up with Obscure Alternatives. Both albums sold well in Japan (where the band's name helped them to gain a devoted cult following) and the Netherlands, where the single "Adolescent Sex" was a Top 30 hit; they also gained some popularity in Canada. However in their native UK those albums were largely ignored.[1]

Though influenced by artists such as the New York Dolls, Roxy Music and David Bowie, both albums were widely dismissed by the UK music press as being distinctly outmoded at a time when punk and New Wave bands were in ascendence. The band were managed by Simon Napier-Bell who has also managed The Yardbirds, Marc Bolan, London and Wham!.

Carcrash International/ fall/ empirical child.

Carcrash International” was formed as a kind of super-group consisting of the elite musicians of the Cleopatra label, similar to This Mortal Coil, concentrated around a joint project. The group appears to have centered around the music, writing and vocals of Dave Roberts (aka, Dave Sex Gang), recently departed bass player of Sex Gang Children; Matt Green (Keyboards); Bari-Bari (Guitar) and David Glass (Drums), both old Christian Death band members prevailing at the time in the group Mephisto Walz; and included musicians Nicky Garrett and Colin Dminchin at various stages. They were associated with the Batcave scene.
